Abstract
The role of local sports councils is becoming more important in promoting and revitalizing local sports. The purpose of the establishment of the Local Sports Council is to promote the health and physical strength of the city and provincial residents, improve their leisure time and improve their welfare by promoting sports in schools and daily life sports by promoting sports across the city and province, and to foster excellent athletes for the city.
The purpose is to contribute to enhancing provincial and national prestige. The financial resources (budget) of local sports associations are absolutely dependent on subsidy support from local governments, so the sports associations are not financially independent.
As a core organization that drives local sports activities, local sports councils need to establish a stable budget support system and devise measures to stabilize their own finances and ensure sustainability. Sports Mecenat is attracting attention as an alternative to improve the financial independence of local sports associations.
Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to conduct a fact-finding survey and expert advice on local sports council officials and, based on this, to suggest the direction for promoting the sports mecenat of the Gyeonggi-do local sports council.
In this study, we organized the concept of Sports Mecenat based on previous research, analyzed related cases at home and abroad, conducted a fact-finding survey and expert advice for local sports association officials, and determined the direction of Sports Mecenat promotion by Gyeonggi-do Local Sports Council based on this. presented.
